NYC LGBTQ Domestic Violence Taskforce

1. Create vetted LGBTQ resource and literature binders
2. Draft advocacy plans to integrate LGBTQ issues into domestic violence organizations
3. Develop and complete research project, which speaks to the integrated needs of the domestic violence and LGBTQ communities.
4. Educate the Committee- internally and with external sources
5. Provide tools which assist agencies to establish LGBTQ / DV support groups

Domestic violence as pertaining to the LGBTQ Committee is a pattern of controlling and coercive behavior, which can involve physical, sexual, economic, emotional and/or psychological abuse.
